There Was This Ring....

Did you know a piece of jewelry can cause devastating results? Well, that is what you will find when you read Ring of Death by Ruth J. Hartman. While I was a little confused at the beginning, the mystery kept pulling me in till I had to find out how this was going to end. And, what would a ring have to do with anything?

Well, the only way to find out is to read this book. This will make a great vacation read when you travel this summer!! Or a staycation read. You will not be disappointed.

A Great Read!!!

September Shadows by Debbi Migit was a great read and draws the reader in from the beginning. I throughly enjoy a good mystery and this did not disappoint.  There were a few twists and turns and from the beginning I certainly did not expect all of the revelations at the end.

This should definitely be on your reading list and would also be a great book for teens who enjoy good mysteries.

The author has written a book that develops the characters very well. This book is very well written and the story keeps you guessing until the end.

This is one of those "can't put it down" books because the author draws the reader into the story. As you read the questions must be answered! Make sure this one is on your list, you will enjoy it!

Am I Walking My Purpose?

There are times in our lives where we are faced with a choice. Which road do we choose? There are many factors that affect, influence the choice we make. Sometimes, we need to take a step back and consider the road we have chosen. A very good friend once told me, "anytime you make a decision, remember, you can always change your mind." Now, we may not think we can change directions or take another road, and it may be hard, but we always need to consider, "is this the direction I should be traveling?'

Saving Grace by Amy Anguish is a book that asks this question. Am I on the right path? Is this God's leading? This book does an excellent and intriguing job of telling a story that we can identify with. Oh, maybe not in having walked the same path with a similar situation, but in the struggle of choices.

This is a book that should be on your reading list this fall/winter. It would make a good book club read and includes questions for discussion and thought at the end.

Starts with a Bang, Literally!!

Hostage by Cindy Bonds is just what the title of this review says. The book starts with a bang and doesn't slow down much until the end. This is a great read and, if you like mystery, you will not want to put the book down until you read one more page.

The characters in the book are all dealing with their separate issues and the author does a beautiful job of working through the trauma that exists, is inevitable, in certain types of jobs. The importance of love, forgiveness, and understanding that we need God are so important in this book and it should be on your reading list now!

Native American History - A Lesson in Beginnings

Kokopelli's Song by Suzanne J. Bratcher is a compelling journey as the main character, Amy, comes to terms with her beginnings. She learns to reconnect with her past and embrace the family she was taken from. I won't say much more about that because I don't want to give away the story. The true history of the North America's first inhabitants is rich with the ancient lore of the people.

Ms. Bratcher created a story that grips the reader from the beginning and creates a "can't put this book down" desire as you turn each page. The author includes discussion questions and activities for each chapter that will connect readers to actual history. I highly recommend this book to those interested in a modern story that connects ancient mysterious history.
